It was a lovely day, and (Child's name here) came down the road with a hop,

a skip and a big jump. He had a happy smile on his face, for school had

closed for four whole weeks! But the sun was getting hotter and hotter.

"Dear me!" said (Child's name here) to himself, "I do feel lazy; I think I shall lay down on this soft green grass for a while and rest," so down he lay. He had

not been there long when a large frog came hopping down the path. He was

dressed in a yellow waist coat with spots on it, the frog seemed pretty pleased with himself. "Hello Mr. Frog!" cried (Child's name here), sitting up. "This is

nice, have you come to talk to me?" For a moment the frog stared at

(Child's name here) as if his eyes would fall out of his head. Then, without a

word, the frog turned round and began to hop away as fast as he ever could.
